‘where walls and floor meet’ 1996-2010
white clay
stretched out
about 260 cmmeters long, here in my solo ‘Misamee’ in RAM Gallerie, Art Rotterdam 2015
covered with mother-of-pearl acrylic in 2010

i made this in the European Ceramic Work Centre in 1996
the title was inspired by a songtext line of Kristin Hersh’ 1994 amazing song ‘The Letter’:
“There’s a blanket wrapped around my head
I’m moving in a line that’s shaped like this
I am I am holding in my breath
I have a room
Can you tell if I am lying
Don’t forget I’m living inside the space where walls and floor meet
There’s a box inside my chest
An animal, stuffed with my frustrations
Can you hear me?”
